We are a mobile medical spa serving Franklin and Shelby County with licensed medical staff. We also have a private, dedicated space inside Juan’s Barber and Beauty Shop at 1900 Midland Trail in Shelbyville—by appointment only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators that relax targeted muscles to reduce signs of aging. Dysport results typically take a few days to take effect, while Botox may take up to a week. Botox can last from 3-6 months. Dysport is shorter lived with a 3-4 month timeframe. Dysport can disperse treatment over a larger area, whereas Botox is a more targeted treatment option. Botox tends to be more expensive per unit but is more potent than Dysport. Taking into account the amount of units used and the length of time between treatments the overall costs of both are about the same.
Infusion therapy typically lasts 1 hour, with the exception of the NAD+ infusion which may last 2-4 hours. The cosmetic injectable and IM treatments are approximately 30 minutes. This does not include the examination time, which will vary from client to client.
IV therapy is safe with licensed and trained professionals. The Kentucky Board of Nursing, Medical Licensure, and Pharmacy recently put out a joint press release regarding IV clinics due to concerns about unlicensed staff and failure to properly assess patients. We at Bluegrass Refresh MedSpa go extra lengths to assure clients are safe candidates for any treatment and all staff are licensed and trained. We will continue to stay up-to-date with the above named Boards, as they develop regulatory standards. Even if you don’t choose us for service, we recommend asking any clinic you patronize questions about their staff licenses and training, including if they are aware of the recent press release. See press release link in the “Learn More About the Medications“ section above.
Clients with fluid retention issues (CHF, Kidney Disease, Liver Failure) are not eligible for this service.
Clients with neurological issues (facial paralysis, Bell's Palsy) are not eligible for this service.
The medical examination will assess for any potential medication interactions. Please be ready to provide a complete and up-to-date list of all your prescription and over-the-counter medications and supplements.
HSA/FSA cards may be used to pay for IV hydration and IM medications. They are not eligible for the cosmetic injectables.
Our medication and medical equipment suppliers are all FDA-regulated U.S. based companies.
